The winner was announced at the London and Partners launch of London Technology Week, where Russ Shaw founder of Tech London Advocates took to the stage alongside Oli Barrett MBE. The tech pioneers revealed that this year’s winner was ‘LoveTheSales.com’!

Richard Corbett, Founder and CEO of Eyetease said: “As an entrepreneur who understands how difficult it can be to launch a new product into a competitive marketplace, #TeaseLondon was a great opportunity for us to see how we can help the next generation of startups! LoveTheSales.com are solving a real world problem and we couldn’t resist their story. As a young working father, Stuart McClure needed to make every penny count and relied on buying sale items to provide his family with the things they needed most. There was nothing quite like it at the time, so Stuart got to work alongside co-founders Mark Solomon and David Bishop to develop a platform that would help others shop smarter. We love this startup’s tenacity and their popularity shows that consumers love them too. We are delighted to help Love The Sales reach the masses with our powerful advertising technology. With our technology’s advanced targeting capabilities, soon Love The Sales message will be targeting the right message to the right people at the right place and time!”
The #TeaseLondon winner will receive a game-changing outdoor advertising campaign across 400 HD digital taxitop screens. The campaign will be seen more than 16 million times across London on one of the most powerful outdoor advertising technologies in the world and can be targeted by time of day, location, demographic and weather. This incredible opportunity will catapult the winning business to center stage and offer LoveTheSales.com a chance to be seen on every street in London.
Stuart McClure, co-Founder of Love The Sales said, “To win the competition is amazing – a real honour to have been chosen. We are really excited by this prize and we can’t wait to start trying out some of the ideas we have with the technology Eyetease offer. When we spotted the #TeaseLondon competition we were intrigued by the opportunity on offer. It was a hugely generous prize. We saw great possibilities in this advertising format – the time and location-based targeting is awesome and we are very focused on the use of data to make every individual’s experience of our site tailored. It was a perfect fit. The chance to get our brand in front of potentially millions of Londoners is phenomenal. Winning the #TeaseLondon competition means we can take our business to the next level. The Eyetease offering means we can offer a tailored advertising experience to Londoners of all varieties and set Love the Sales on its way to becoming a household name!”
As Europe’s largest festival of events celebrating tech innovation, London Technology Week was the perfect place to announce the news. The launch event was hosted by London and Partners, the Mayor of London’s promotional arm, and saw an array of notable figures including Ed Vaizey the Minister of State for Culture and Digital Economy; Eileen Burbridge of Passion Capital and Tech City UK; and Beatie Wolfe, renowned musician using digital tools.
Russ Shaw also broke the news that due to the outstanding quality of the finalists, all five runners-up would receive a geotargeted campaign worth £8,000. These finalists include: Charbrew, a low-calorie range of fruit tea bevarges; eMoov, a disruptive online estate agency; Garmence, a wine studio; and ZipJet, a laundry and dry cleaning on-demand service.
Jim Cohen, Sales Director at Verifone said, “Working with Eyetease, a tech startup themselves, we realised the passion and pride that is out there in the startup community. We wanted to do all we could to help with that. These businesses have phenomenal products and all they need for success is an increased client base – something that our advertising formats can deliver.
I was blown away by the scale and quality of the entrants. All five finalists deserved a win, hence us increasing the prize. However, Love The Sales stood out as a brand that understood the market and how to exploit a gap, and impressed me in their passion for the business. I cannot wait for their ad to be live on our screens and for their business to be transformed by our Digital Tops!”
