Eyetease and Verifone Media are delighted to announce the shortlist for #TeaseLondon, the Twitter competition for one startup to win £160,000 value prize – one of the largest prizes ever given away on Twitter! Eyetease and Verifone Media are also pleased to confirm their collaboration with London Technology Week, in association with founding partners UBM and London and Partners.

The shortlisted startups will join the invitation-only London Technology Week (LTW) 2016 launch event on Monday 20th June, celebrating London as a global powerhouse of tech innovation. The event is run by LTW founding member London and Partners, whom Eyetease has worked closely with for the Mayor’s ‘Go to Grow’ International Business Programme.

The shortlist has been carefully selected by judges Richard Corbett, founder and CEO of Eyetease; and Jim Cohen, Sales Director of Verifone Media. Both judges were overwhelmed by the creativity, tenacity and quality of entries. Six companies were selected as finalists:

Charbrew: Creators of healthy, low-calorie ice tea drink stocked across WHSmith, Holland & Barrett and more. http://www.charbrew.com

eMoov: Disruptive online full estate agency service making it easier for Londoners to buy property. https://www.emoov.co.uk

Honorable mentions go to Darceys, Electroclinic, What A Melon, eFoldi, Flibl and Pobble – each startup showed outstanding creativity in their entries which ranged from hilarious short movie trailers, to impassioned video pitches. The judges thought each honorable mention showed exemplary merit. Eyetease and Verifone Media congratulate these six companies on demonstrating brilliant tenacity and providing a wonderful example of entrepreneurship.

Each finalist on the shortlist is still in the running to win a huge outdoor advertising campaign across 400 iTaxitop screens. The campaign will be seen more than 16 million times across London and case studies show that similar campaigns have resulted in 25% sales uplift for participating brands. The winner will be revealed in just one week – Russ Shaw, founder of Tech London Advocates and ambassador for London’s thriving SME sector, will take to the stage to announce the winner.

Congratulations finalists and good luck!
